David Gaider has had a long and successful career in video games, writing for the likes of Baulder’s Gate II and the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. His most recent position however has included being the lead writer for all three of Bioware’s Dragon Age games. In celebration of May the 4th, like many others, Gaider took to twitter to share some of his fond memories of Star Wars.

In response to a fan statement about wanting another Star Wars game from Bioware, Gaider stated, “I’d love to work on another Star Wars RPG.” While it likely won’t lead to anything, a joke Gaider himself pointed out in his next tweet, saying, “BioWare’s David Gaider also wants a pony, his own bar, and a summer home in New Orleans,” just the thought of a great writer diving back into such a beloved franchise is certainly a nice dream.

Bioware currently still supports the free-to-play MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, but, unfortunately, nothing quite like the single-player magic that was the original Knights of the Old Republic games seems to be on the horizon for anytime soon. As far as Star Wars games we are getting, be sure to check out the new map details for Star Wars: Battlefront and why one of our editors is still very nervous about the upcoming shooter.

What would you think of a more classical Star Wars RPG? If not written by Gaider, who else would you maybe like to see tackle one? Let us know in the comments.
