Welcome, my friends, to the next episode of FREEBIE FRIDAY! I’m bringing you a personal fave of mine, War Thunder. I’ve been playing this for such a long time now, I’ve seen it go through overhauls through the menu, the way to obtain planes, the addition of tanks. This is a game that I’ve continued to go on and off of, yet when I do come back to it, it’s always an enjoyable experience, even more so when you have three friends to go with and make a squad into battle. If there were one thing I could describe about War Thunder, it is pure entertainment value and how much it’s worth being free.

War Thunder is developed and published by Gaijin Entertainment, available on PC, Linux, Mac and the PS4, so those with the PS4 version will also get to face against those on the PC. To be honest, I didn’t have a clue who were on the PS4, it blended in so well. The action is mostly non-stop while on arcade, you end up with numerous objectives depending on what map you end up on. When you end up in Realistic, you end up in battles were you are literally doing one set objective that is linked to historical battles. It truly is a fantastic game linking in battles over ground forces where bombers have to take out the enemy ground forces, or you’re in a naval battle, using torpedos on your planes to launch them into the water, or dive bomb the ships to take them out. This is only the air battles of War Thunder. When you get to tank battles, it becomes such a hectic, yet destructive battle, capturing points for your team. If you like World of Tanks, or World of Warplanes, this is not for you, realism is key in this, you will be taken out if you’re shot in the right place, no matter what level you tank or plane is.

This is one of my recommendations, a real Benjie recommendation. War Thunder, come and play it, I hope to see you out there flying with me, or shooting me down on the Europe server.

Peace Out.
