Hellfire Citadel is situated deep in Tanaan Jungle and is the third raid in Warcraft’s Warlords of Draenor expansion. It comes in four difficulties; Raid Finder 25 man, Normal 10 and 25 man, Heroic 10 and 25 man and Mythic 20 man.

There are 13 boss encounters through out the raid. Hellfire Assault, Iron Reaver, Kormrok, and Hellfire High Council drop ilvl 690 Normal, ilvl 705 Heroic, ilvl 720 Mythic loot. Kilrogg Deadeye, Gorefiend, Shadow-Lord Iskar, and Socrethar drop ilvl 695 Normal, ilvl 710 Heroic, and ilvl 725 Mythic loot. Fel Lord Zakuun, Xhul’horac, Tyrant Velhari, and Mannoroth drop ilvl 700 Normal, ilvl 715 Heroic, and ilvl 730 Mythic loot. Archimonde drops ilvl 705 Normal, ilvl 720 Heroic, and ilvl 735 Mythic loot. Hellfire LFR loot is ilvl 675 from earlier bosses and ilvl 685 from later bosses and all four raid difficulties do not share lockouts.

On Mythic difficulty, Archimonde will drop the new Felsteed Annihilator mount and Shadow Lord Iskar will drop a mechanical pet, Corrupted Nest Guardian, on all difficulties. Each boss will also give part of a meta achievement for clearing the raid which will award players with an Infernal Direwolf mount. There is also a transmog set that Archimonde drops, it consists of three pieces, Demon Prince’s Ascendant Crown, Mantle of the Eredar Lord, and Demonbuckle Sash of Argus. These pieces resemble the armour he wears.

Tier 18 armour sets will drop from the bosses in this raid but unlike previous expansions, players will not need to turn in tokens for armour pieces, instead you can simply click the token and that will generate the armour for your class. Tier gear is ilvl 695 normal, ilvl 710 heroic, and ilvl 725 mythic. There is also special set of gear from Hellfire LFR that has set bonuses. The helm will drop from Kormrok, the shoulders from Xhul’horac, the chest from Mannoroth, gloves from Socrethar and the legs will drop from Gorefiend. Archimonde himself will drop class specific trinkets which is a new feature this time round.

You will also get the chance to continue the legendary quest line to get your iLvl 735 ring in Chapter IV: Darkness Incarnate.
