With less than two months left until the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, audiences watching Monday Night Football were graced with watching a new trailer. This new trailer does show off more of what The Force Awakens might be about, but is actually kept from spoiling too much.
If you haven’t already watched the trailer a few dozen times, it depicts a few separate scenes. It looks as though, even after the Death Star II was destroyed, the Empire is still strong-arming its way through the galaxy, attacking rebel settlements wherever they can find them. Other than that and some dialogue scenes between Han Solo and the new protagonists, not much else was shown, other than some gorgeous shots.
Just yesterday the official poster for the movie was released. The movie stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Max von Sydow, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill. The film will be released on December 16th for French movie theaters, December 17th for the U.K., and December 18th for the U.S.
