Originally released in Japan as a PSP exclusive game in 2011, Final Fantasy Type-0 recently made its worldwide debut on consoles this past March in the form of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. But now, as announced on the Final Fantasy twitter (via Siliconera) the HD remake will be making its way to PCs, distributed through Steam. While no release date has been released, it is likely we can expect more information when Square Enix takes the stage for its first E3 press conference in just a couple weeks.

For those that may not know, Final Fantasy Type-0 follows a group of fourteen young students, called Class Zero, as they are pulled into a large scale war when their nation is invaded, a decidedly darker story than many Final Fantasy games. Our review called it a “solid title,” saying, “The story can be confusing, and the visuals have their highs and lows, but the actual gameplay and combat really shine through. It is a welcome change from the rest of the Final Fantasy series, and while it is not perfect, it is still entertaining in its own right.”

Will you be picking the game up when it comes to Steam? Let us know in the comments.
