During Microsoft’s E3 briefing, developer The Coalition revealed a trailer for the first gameplay seen from the upcoming Gears 4 (not Gears of War 4), revealed to be headed to Xbox One during holiday 2016.
New characters were present in the trailer that, while looking gorgeous, had a setting that is best described as dark and stormy. Fast-paced shooting occurred as wind blew debris and vehicles around.
Two characters present – JD and an unnamed woman – traversed a town at night during the demo as a storm swept through. Weapons that return include the Gnasher shotgun, Stub pistol, and Lancer. At one point, JD uses a chainsaw to slice open a locked gate.
