Shenmue III’s Kickstarter, announced in the Sony E3 press conference, met its goal within 9 hours of being posted.
The Kickstarter, which features a digital copy of the game for either Playstation 4 or PC at just $29, also has some pretty insane packages, the most notable sits at $10,000. The one of a kind package gets you Ryo’s Jacket, worn by Masaya Matsukaze at the press conferences 14 years ago. And yes, somebody bought it already.
The Kickstarter features stretch goals of up to 4 million, while some of the goals feature subtitles for other languages, some of the higher up tiers include a skill tree system and a rapport system, both of which not previously seen in the Shenmue franchise.
Its been a long 14 years for Shenmue fans, but the light is finally at the end of the tunnel. Sony has also said that they will be supporting the game.
