On the string of suspended League of Legends players, midlaner for Team Impulse, Yu “XiaoWeiXiao” Xian, has recently been suspended after admitting to boosting another player’s account for money.
ELO boosting is against Riot’s Terms and Conditions, and XiaoWeiXiao admitted to doing so for a sum of $1300 after a conversation he had with another League of Legends player was posted online.
“We have spoken with XiaoWeiXiao regarding ELO boosting allegations – he has confirmed misconduct and is suspended pending investigation.”
ESports manager Hunter Leigh confirmed the allegations on Twitter on the 22nd of July. XiaoWeiXiao’s statement can be read in full on Team Impulse’s website.
Riot has recently banned multiple other players for ELO boosting.
