In an interview with Red Bull, 343 Industries’ creative director Josh Holmes talked about the the “prestigious legacy” of Halo and the standards that the studio brought to the development of Halo 5. One of the topics brought up in the interview was the campaign.

“The length of Halo 5: Guardians campaign is nearly twice that of Halo 4, based on average playtime in user research testing,” said Holmes, “While we’re always looking for new ways to expand the Halo universe, we do not currently have any plans to release future campaign content for Halo 5: Guardians.”

Even though there’s no plan to bring expanded content to the campaign, 343 Industries has already said that they will support the multiplayer aspect of Guardians with future releases of more maps and REQ packs. Also, 343 Industries released an infograph outlining different stats for the game’s campaign and multiplayer modes including that there are eight different playable co-op characters and thirteen hidden skulls in the campaign.

Microsoft recently updated the Halo Channel app to provide a “complete stat tracking experience” for the game and, in a recent interview, said they felt that Halo is the “Star Wars” of video games.

Halo 5: Guardians was released on October 27th, the full review can be read here.
