Unless your game blew up similar to that of Minecraft, hitting 10 million copies sold as an independent developer is a pretty big deal.
For UK based developer Rebellion, it came 10 years after Sniper Elite first went on sale. The franchise, which now as 3 standalone versions as of 2014, was researching their 10 year anniversary video when they discovered they have sold just over 10 million copies of their games.
CEO and Co-founder Jason has come out to thank those on the behind the scenes and more up front development side of Sniper Elite, and also any of the fans who have purchased one, two, or even all of their games.
Sniper Elite’s sequel, Sniper Elite V2, came out in 2012, 7 years after the originals release. Sniper Elite V3 was soon to follow in 2014, and so far 6 Sniper Elite titles have been released.
