Hearthstone, Blizzard’s free to play card battler, is going from strength to strength and at this year’s Blizzcon event Blizzard have announced the next adventure for players to embark on, get ready to meet The League of Explorers. Following hot the news that currently around 40 million people play the game the fresh challenges will be welcome news to a lot of people.
There’s not much a wait at all either. The expansion will be available for PC and mobile players on November 13th. A new adventure will be available to players: “The League of Explorers contains 4 wings packed with fiendish bosses, puzzling traps, and ancient mysteries for you to discover. When you overcome a boss or an encounter for the first time, you will earn brand-new cards for your collection!” The adventures will be available at $20 for the lot or 700 gold/$7 per wing.
It was also announced that there will be a further 45 cards added to the card pool with legendary cards available as rewards for clearing the individual adventure wings. There will also be new game boards to play on and interact with and new class challenges to take part in. PLayers will also get to “Meet the League: Make friends with renowned explorer and fearless dwarven historian Brann Bronzebeard and the other members of the League of Explorers: dashing treasure hunter extraordinaire Reno Jackson, brilliant night elf scholar Elise Starseeker, and gentleman (gentle-fish?) murloc adventurer Sir Finley Mrrgglton!”
Blizzard will be implementing a new feature in this expansion too. The discover keyword means every time you play a card with that key word you card choose from 3 cards your class can use to help get you out of a tight spot.
