Battlefield 1 showed more explosive gameplay today at the EA Plays press conference with a new trailer. The in-game footage shows players piloting biplanes, riding motorcycles, and fighting alongside artillery.

During the event, new features and details in the game were announced. Intuitive destruction and dynamic weather ensures that “no battle is ever the same.” By taking out buildings and the destroying terrain you will transform the area into a battle-scarred landscape. Likewise, changing dynamic weather patterns will force you to adapt tactically and adjust to conditions like fog and rain, which can affect your hearing and visibility.

Operations is a new feature to Battlefield multiplayer, they introduce a series of interconnected battles across multiple fronts. “Play a sequence of battles where your actions have consequences beyond a single match, as you try to conquer territory or push back your attackers.”

Behemoths are large player-controlled vehicles coming to the game. They include the Armored Train, Air Ship, and Battleship.

A beta was also announced at the conference that will be open to the public later this summer.

Battlefield 1 is scheduled to release on October 21, 2016 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. The game was officially revealed last month, showing off its World War 1 themed setting.
