Tempest, an open world pirate-themed RPG, is coasting its way out of early access and into full release August 22 on Steam. The game will be available on PC and Mac later for $14.99 or now for $11.99 for early access.
In the game players assume the role of a captain commanding their vessel with choices such as plundering merchant ships, storming fortresses, or hunting down treasure.
“When we created Tempest, we focused on the most thrilling part of pirate life – sea battles,” publisher HeroCraft described.
“As you navigate the dangerous waters of the game you won’t just catch up with merchants, but you will encounter fellow pirates, creepy followers of a mysterious cult and terrible mythical monsters: Kraken, Leviathan and other infamous creatures.”

The game first entered early access in December of 2015 and has since revived mostly positive reviews on Steam.
