So popular that the entire it birthed an entire genre of co-op, Horde Mode returns in Gears of War 4 in the form of Horde 3.0. Revealing what The Coalition has planned for the fan-favorite mode, the newest trailer details the range of changes headed to Gears of War 4.

Most apparent is the introduction of a new class-based system, made up of five different character classes: Soldier, Sniper, Scout, Heavy and Engineer. Writing on Xbox Wire, Microsoft explains the new classes are meant to allow you “to play to your strengths and encourage teamwork.” Each class will then have different skills and abilities.

To help players survive the 50 waves of enemies barreling towards them, Horde 3.0 is also adds to the mode’s fortification system. A new Fabricator can be carried around, then deployed as a base of operations, allowing players to construct turrets and defenses on the fly.

As an added bonus, indie hip-hop artists Run the Jewels have premiered their new song, ‘Panther Like a Panther,’ exclusively in the trailer above.

For fans anxious to see more Horde 3.0 and Gears of War 4 action, The Coalition is livestreaming gameplay from PAX West this weekend. Starting at 6:30 PM PT tomorrow, Saturday September 3, a competitive Horde 3.0 event pitting two teams against each other in what The Coalition is calling First to Fifty, will air on the PAX Arena Twitch.

Gears of War 4 comes to Xbox One and PC October 11.
