Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 7 will have 4K and HDR support on the PlayStation 4 Pro. The company made the announcement this week on the official Resident Evil Twitter page. The feature will most likely be available via a patch with the release of the game.

Along with Capcom, many other companies have announced that they will also be developing patches that will take advantage of the PlayStation 4 Pro’s power. We can expect to see games such as The Elder Scrolls Online in 4K resolution once the system is released in November.

The PlayStation 4 PRO was announced at Sony’s PlayStation Conference this month. The console is an upgraded version of the PlayStation 4 that is capable of displaying media in 4K resolution and High Dynamic Range. The console comes with an improve GPU, CPU, and a 1 TB hard drive. The console will also come packed with the new Dual Shock 4 controller that was announced at the conference alongside PlayStation 4 Pro.

The PlayStation 4 Pro will launch on November 10th of this year for $399. Resident Evil 7 will also support PlayStation VR, which is set to launch October 13th of this year.

Resident Evil 7 is set to release on January 24th, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
