Microsoft has just released a gameplay video for Gears of War 4 on their official Youtube channel which gives fans of the franchise a massive dose of the game’s campaign. Clocking in at over 20 minutes, the video features gameplay from the game’s prologue chapter. In this chapter, players will play through some of the iconic battles of the series.
The video Starts out with the battle of Aspho Fields. In this battle players fight their way through UIR forces in order to obtain the Hammer of Dawn. The second battle then takes place during Emergence Day near the House of Sovereigns. This event takes place when the Locust first appeared from underneath the planet Sera. The video concludes with the siege of Anvil Gate, which highlights one of the final battles with the Locust before they are finally wiped out.
The Coalition, the developers behind the game wanted this prologue chapter to get players right into the action while also using it as a way to teach them basic game play mechanics. This lengthy video should keep fans hyped for the release of Gears of War 4 later this month. The game is scheduled to release for Xbox One and PC on October 11, 2016.
