Bethesda and their reinvention of the title DOOM has brought players to new levels of gore and tension in its dangerous and threatening environments. The latest multiplayer DLC entitled “Bloodfall” is available to players right now, and brings with it three new maps and the deadly Grenade Launcher, as well as other new features.

The three maps included in the Bloodfall DLC are Empyrian, Boneyard and Outbreak. Empyrian takes place in a crumbling collosseum, Boneyard is set in the outer reaches of Hell with the environment made up entirely of pieces of Demon, and Outbreak takes us to a transformed UAC facility after underworldly science has taken over the base. To celebrate the launch of the new update, Bethesda is holding a Double XP weekend event, running from now until the 19th December. All the featured content will be part of the Double XP Weekend, and Bethesda invites players to try and reach the new max rank of Echelon 11, Level 50 and thus unlock the recently added DOOM Marine Armor.

The DLC allows us to dish out death in a new way with the inclusion of the UAC banned weapon, the Grenade Launcher. It comes with two fire settings: bouncing grenades that deal substantial area damage, and a concealing smoke grenade option to assist players with their stealthy attacking.

A new playable Demon known as Spectre Pinky is also included in the Bloodfall DLC. Spectre Pinky comes with the Spectre ability to sneak up on opponents while invisible, and a Bull-Rush move that destroys all in your path. The DLC also brings new Hack modules, Equipment, Cultist themed Armour sets and 15 new customization patterns and colors. Bethesda’s full list of included content can be found here.

The Bloodfall DLC is available now for players on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and is priced at $14.99/£11.99 or as part of the DOOM Season Pass.
