Housemarque, developer of the side-scrolling PlayStation 4 game Resogun, has announced that the game will be getting a patch to add support for HDR, as well as adding 4K support on PS4 Pro.

A launch title for the PS4, Resogun is a fast moving arcade-style shoot-em-up that was quite visually impressive when it first released. It was also one of the only PS4 launch games to actually output a native 1080p resolution. Since the announcement of the PS4 Pro, fans have been wondering whether or not Housemarque would be updating their games, but nothing had been confirmed until now. It’s still unclear whether or not the game will run at 60 frames per second while in 4K, or if the framerate will be lowered in order to enable the higher resolution.

Housemarque also recently announced their newest game, Nex Machina, a twin-stick arcade shooter which is being made in collaboration with Eugene Jarvis. An industry veteran, Jarvis is most notable for being the creator of Defender, a game which heavily influenced Resogun. The announcement trailer was revealed at PlayStation Experience last weekend, and you can check it out below.

As of now, no release date has been set for Resogun’s 4K/HDR patch.
