Whether you are a huge fan of the original Terminator films, Titanic, or some other films of his, there is no denying that James Cameron is a force in the film industry. His huge scaled blockbuster epic, Avatar, was a gargantuan success when it was released in 2009. It was even the highest grossing film of all time for years afterward. With sequels to Avatar on the way, Ubisoft thought it was as good a time as any to jump on this train and help make something great.

The world of Pandora, the main setting for Avatar and most likely the future sequels, is a wide and beautiful world. It would be wonderful to see the possibilities of a game set on this gorgeous moon. With this in mind, Ubisoft had to make a decision on which team they wanted to headline the task of an Avatar game. Considering the amazing look of Tom Clancy’s The Division, the Massive Entertainment Studio will be developing this title.

Part of what brought James Cameron’s team on in the first place was the Snowdrop engine. Only one other Ubisoft title besides The Division has been made with this engine, as it is very new and stands out to make everything look so real and amazing. This is exactly what Cameron is looking for when it comes to a game based on his creation. We can’t wait to learn more about this upcoming Avatar title in the future.
