Tekken 7: Fated Retribution’s ever growing roster consists of various fan-favorites and several new faces. Now, Bandai Namco has just added the Brazillian fighter Eddy Gordo.

Eddy Gordo debuted in Tekken 3 and has remained popular enough to appear in every subsequent Tekken game. Part of what makes Gordo so popular is his unique Capoeira fighting style, a break dance-like martial art that has origins in Brazil. The only other playable characters who use Capoeira (not counting characters who are designed to mimic fighting styles) are Christie Monteiro and Tiger Jackson, although rumor has it that Eddy Gordo and Tiger Jackson are the same person.

As a Capoeira master, Eddy Gordo attacks primarily with various kicks. While he will occasionally throw a punch or two, Gordo mainly uses his hands to effortlessly move from one kick stance to the next. He is a “easy to begin, tough to master” fighter, due to the seemingly unpredictable nature of his moves and his combo potential.

Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is the seventh main entry in the Tekken franchise. Newcomers to the game include Kazumi Mishima (wife of longtime fan-favorite Heihachi Mishima), Lucky Chloe, Gigas, Master Raven, Shaheen, and Akuma from Street Fighter.

Tekken 7: Fated Retribution will release on June 2nd for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
