DayZ lead producer Brian Hicks posted a video that showcased the new DirectX 11 Enfusion Engine renderer for the Early Access zombie survival game.

In the video, which can be seen above, Hicks shows off the differences between the new renderer and the legacy DirectX 9 renderer. There already looks to be a visual improvement between the two engines, but more details about actual performance numbers will be given at a later date.

Hicks does say there are still bugs to be ironed out, case in point the constant rainfall in the video, but the renderer definitely shows promise and will go through a couple more optimization passes before it ultimately goes live.

There is no word yet on when the DirectX 11 Enfusion Engine will be released for DayZ.
