A $500,000 goal was mere chump change for fans of Koji Igarashi, the mind behind Castlevania.

When his Kickstarter went live earlier this year, Igarashi was surely not expecting to get close to $5.5 million in backing. The community has managed to smash all the stretch goals, and the game will be making its way to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and PlayStation Vita.

Along with the additional platforms, players can be excited for a roguelike dungeon, an additional character to play as, and so much more.

Although it’s rare to see a Grid Map (or Caramel Map) for a game, Igarashi was eager to show backers that they are making progress on the game.

The map is used to check the sizing of the levels, where they should be putting monsters, among other things. It’s a vital part of development that was shared publicly in the most recent Kickstarter update. You can find the video at the update page for the Kickstarter, or down below.
