Sony’s gaming division had another big quarter this year as the company released their latest fiscal report covering April-June 2015. In those three months Sony sold 3 million PS4 consoles which doubled the 1.4 million units Microsoft sold of the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles in the same time period.

Microsoft said the 1.4 million units, of combined Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles, sold during the previous quarter was a 27% increase over the 1.1 million units Microsoft sold in the same quarter the year prior.

Sony said the 3 million PS4 consoles sold during the previous quarter was an 11% increase over the 2.7 million PS4 consoles Sony sold in the same quarter the year prior.

Since its release in November 2013 the PS4 has sold a total of 25.3 million units worldwide. In total console sales the PS4 is tracking ahead of both the PS2 and PS3 for their respective lifecycles.

Sony bumped up the projections of how many PS4 consoles they expect to sell in their current fiscal year (April 2015 to March 2016) from 16 million to 16.5 million units.

If it’s on target Sony would be poised to sell a total of 38.8 million PS4 consoles by the end of March 2016.

And why should anyone care ? The best features, exclusives and future are on Xbox one. Couldn’t care less if a billion people bought pos4..microsofts install base is several billion with windows 10….wheres the article on that ?

HAHAHAHAHA! In other words, you’re eating sour grapes bc you bought the XBone which is a massive flop console that will be as worthless as the Wii U and the Sega Saturn in another year or two. Sony is destroying Microflop. XBone will be a dead console pretty soon and Microflop will close their console division.

Maybe he enjoys sour grapes? What I find hilarious is that I first thought it was PS4 beating just Xbox One in sales. Didn’t see that Micro$oft had to COMBINE Xbox One AND Xbox 360 sales lol. Sad.

What I want to know is why is it so easy to find PS4 sales numbers but when you type in Xbox One sales in a search nothing comes up for them but the less than a handful of months that the Xbox outsold the PS4? I want to see the total sales of PS4 vs Xbox One, not PS4 versus a combination of Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Industry analysts think a pure sold number is somewhere around 10 million, but they also combine shipped/both consoles into that number and get up to 15 million but the truth is only Microflop knows how many they’ve sold. They do not want the general public knowing the truth. Shadiest corporation I’ve ever seen as far as financial honesty.
