With Castle Crashers Remastered recently releasing on Xbox One, and with no remaster of the original game planned for the PC, the Steam version of the original Castle Crashers is receiving a free upgrade, bringing with it a number of new features.
The free update is available today, and includes:
- Back Off Barbarian: An all-new mini game.
- Uncapped frame rate.
- Ultra Mode: High quality textures.
- Updates to UI flow.
- Russian language support added.
- General bug fixes and improvements.
If you want to activate the Ultra Mode within the game, you’ll have to turn it on through the Castle Crashers settings menu, as it won’t be on default after the game updates. In addition to this, it should be noted that Back Off Barbarian is actually a replacement for the original ‘All You Can Quaff’ mode.
