Prison Architect developers Introversion Software and Double Eleven have partnered with Sold Out Sales & Marketing LTD to release the animated prison simulation game on consoles this summer.

The game will be released on June 3, 2016 for both the PS4 and Xbox One platforms. The game which has been available digitally for PC on Steam since last year will get a physical launch in retailers as well as a digital launch in each of the console’s storefronts.

“Double 11 has done a fantastic job of taking Introversion’s sales behemoth on PC, and crafted the perfect Prison Architect experience for consoles,” CEO of Sold Out, Garry Williams, said. “With a game that is now specifically designed for console gamers, Sold Out us poised to hit the same record breaking sales with the retail console release, originally generated on PC.”

“Digitally we understand the mechanisms around discovery,” Marketing Director of Double 11, Mark South said, “We just didn’t want to leave the potential boxed revenue on the table. Our aim is to share Prison Architect with as many console customers as humanly possible, in whatever manner suits them best. Partnering with the tried and trusted Sold Out, allows us to focus our energies on publishing on digital platforms.”
