At the end of last month, Bethesda released the Fallout 4 Creation Kit. And it seems gamers wasted no time sinking their teeth into it. A full, in-game mod marketplace, along with a new suit of modding tools, the Creation Kit integrated mods into Fallout 4 more than ever before. Taking to Twitter, Bethesda announced PC gamers alone have already surpassed a million mods downloaded.

As for when console gamers will be able to enjoy the Creation Kit, Bethesda has previously announced mod support will come to Xbox One this month, followed by PS4 in June. It now appears however that Xbox One Mods will be getting a closed beta. Scheduled simply for after Fallout 4’s final piece of DLC, Far Harbor, the closed beta will begin sometime after May 19.

The new mod support allows players to access a library of mods in-game, browse, rate, and then even download them, straight from the Fallout 4 main menu. “We believe that our games become something much more special, when we put the power of creation in your hands,” Bethesda said when the Creation Kit went live on PC last month.
