Maximum Games has just released a new trailer for its upcoming game Troll and I. The trailer details several of the game’s features and confirms it will release on the Nintendo Switch.
Troll and I takes place in Scandinavia and stars the unlikely duo of Otto the human and Troll the, well, troll. In the game, the duo teams up to fight off human soldiers and orcs who now wander the Scandinavian wilderness.
Troll and I’s gameplay is a combination of The Last Guardian, Tomb Raider/Rise of the Tomb Raider, and what Scalebound might have been. Troll is a slow bruiser who can hurl giant boulders and send enemies flying, and Otto is a quick and nimble child who can craft weapons and sneak up on enemies.
Gameplay revolves around each character using his abilities to perform tasks the other cannot. Some areas require Otto to sneak past enemies, others need Troll to destroy something, and several locations have Otto and Troll combine their abilities. In single player mode, gamers can switch between Otto and Troll at a moment’s notice. The game will also come with a splitscreen co-op mode where players can sit down with a friend and play the game together.
Troll and I will release on March 24th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
