At Square Enix’s E3 conference, it was announced that a new Neir project is in the works.
Platinum Games has been announced to be working on a new Nier title with Square Enix. Atsushi Inaba, who is known for his work on Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, will be working on the project as a producer. Taro Yoko, Nier’s creative director, will be overseeing the project.
Not much is known about the new Nier project at the moment. Platinum Games has mentioned that the game is a ways away. The game will release on the PlayStation 4.
The original Nier released in 2010. The game had been developed by the now disbanded Cavia. The game was a spin-off from the Drakengard series.
