Square Enix has announced that the PlayStation Vita port of Final Fantasy Agito+ has been cancelled.

The developer made the announcement on their Twitter page, which was translated by Game Informer. The site reports that the tweet was a confirmation that development of Final Fantasy Agito+ has been cancelled, along with an apology from the developer. Square Enix has stated that they will have “more information about Agito during the Final Fantasy XV Active Time Report at Tokyo Game Show on September 19.”

Final Fantasy Agito was a free-to-play title available on iOS and Android in Japan. It was later announced that the title would make its way over to the PS Vita as Final Fantasy Agito+.

Final Fantasy Agito is set within the same universe as Final Fantasy Type-0. Type-0 was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One earlier this year. It made its way over to PC last month. You can check out Gamespresso’s review of the title here.
