A while ago Laura Shigihara, composer for the original Plants vs Zombies soundtrack and current developer for her own game Rakuen, had flown out to Japan to work together with legendary composer Yasunori Mitsuda. It seems the project that they were working on had finally come out in the form of a Chrono Trigger/ Cross album called “Haruka naru Toki no Kanata e”. You can listen to a quick sample from each of the songs. Laura is no stranger to covering tracks from the Chrono Trigger series as shown on the various videos on her YouTube channel.

Yasanori Mitsuda’s compositions consisted of Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Front Mission: Gun Hazard, Luminous Arc, the upcoming Stella Glow and so much more. A combination of talents between the two gave shape for an amazing sounding soundtrack that would be incredible if it were available in the Western Square Enix eStore. For those that do have access to the Japanese Square Enix eStore, Amazon Japan or the Japanese Sony Music Shop.
