Epic Games have announced their latest title: Paragon.
Beyond the game’s name, we know very little about the upcoming title. Paragon’s website has gone live, but there is not much information there.
The site does tease, however, that you can “discover a new hero each week and unlock unique in-game items.” The first of these heroes is Twinblast. His accompanying text reads, “Go in. Both guns blazing.” Along with Twinblast, the site teases four other heroes, who will all be revealed once a week for the next several weeks.
The in-game items that players can unlock are more along the lines of perks. These include a damage bonus when fighting shielded targets, or receiving a critical strike bonus on successive hits. You can choose one of these items to have unlocked when you play the game.
You can also sign up for an upcoming beta test. There is no starting date for the beta, though Epic Games does say that Paragon will be coming to PC in early 2016.
Paragon is not the only title that Epic Games are working on. The studio is working on a new Unreal Tournament, as well as Fortnite. The studio also continues to work on the Unreal Engine.
