Following rumors suggests by the PlayStation 4’s trophy list, Capcom has confirmed that Dead Rising 1 and 2 will release on current-generation consoles.

“Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4,” Capcom told Eurogamer. “We will have more news to share soon.”

No further details including the release date and price were revealed as of yet. The sequel and its DLC are already available on PC, the first game in the series is not.

Dead Rising 4 will see the return of Frank West, the protagonist of the first game and of Off the Record. The Christmas-themed sequel will be released December 6 on Xbox One and PC. It was revealed this year at E3 during Microsoft’s press conference.

The first game was released in 2006 and takes place in a mall that resides in the fictional town of Willamette, Colorado. Dead Rising 2 released in 2010, it featured Chuck Greene as its main protagonist and took place in Fortune City, Colorado.

August will mark the 10-year anniversary of the first game. Stay tuned for more information leading up Dead Rising 4 and the upcoming ports.
