Felix Kjellberg, known better as PewDiePie on YouTube, recently got a surprise within a surprise from Sony on his birthday.
YouTube biggest star received a special birthday cake from the company featuring their iconic four DualShock controller buttons on top as well as the phrase, “Greatness awaits inside”–a take on their “Greatness awaits” slogan. However, it also eluded to a special surprise.
On Twitter Felix wrote, “I went for a late snack, but found a treasure! Thanks for this brilliant gift @PlayStation.”
Cutting open the cake, he was surprised to find a custom PlayStation 4 controller with a “26” and “PEWDIEPIE” in the center as well as colorful PlayStation symbols all over it.
PewDiePie is currently working on a new show for YouTube’s subscription service called “Scare PewDiePie” which he describes as a “reality-adventure series”. It is being produced by Skybound Entertainment, the studio behind The Walking Dead. In it PewDiePie will encounter “terrifying situations inspired by his favorite video games.”
