Niantic has announced it will partner with Sprint and add new Pokemon to Pokemon GO in the near future.

December has been the month of Pokemon GO updates; the nearby tracker was reintroduced with mixed results, Starbucks leaked a partnership with Niantic, and now Niantic will turn most Sprint stores into PokeStops and Gyms.

“As part of this collaboration, Sprint, Boost Mobile, and Sprint at Radioshack stores will become PokeStops and Gyms, giving you even more places to stock up on Poke Balls and Razz Berries and to battle your friends,” says John Hanke of Niantic. “Sprint locations will also feature in-store charging stations to keep your Pokemon GO sessions going even longer.”

Additionally, Niantic announced that new Pokemon will soon be added to Pokemon GO. Last month, dataminers uncovered information regarding these new Pokemon and leaked their findings to sites like TheSilphRoad. Hanke says gamers interested in the update should “keep an eye out on our social media channels on December 12th.” Oddly enough, Niantic’s announcement does not mention the purported partnership with Starbucks.

As we learn more about Niantic’s plans for the future, including what they have in store for us on December 12th, you’ll find it all right here on Gamespresso.
